The year 11 girls from the Criw were successful today in winning £1000 in a Dragon’s Den pitch. They have asked to use some of the money to get Ameer from a company called 1 Miliwn in to do a Ffair iaith with a year group, probably year 9 and then to use the rest of the money to create their own Ffair Iaith for the Criws in the cluster primary schools to upskill them and encourage them to become part of our Criw when they come up to DYF. The girls met Ameer during the NPT conference on the Siarter Iaith and were inspired by his passion and enthusiasm so wanted him to come into the school to help inspire others.
The panel were incredibly impressed with their presentation and their maturity when answering questions on their pitch. Nia Jenkins was so impressed with them she has asked them to do some comms for the local authority on Welsh, the Welsh language and the Siarter Iaith.
