Gnoll Challenge

Dwr-y-Felin entered a KS3 and KS4 team this year in the Gnoll Challenge. This multi-agency event is run in conjunction with the South Wales Police and Fire Service, Prince’s Trust, National Probation Service, Snap Cymru and local colleges and businesses. Now in its 24th year the event attracts children and young people from over 100 schools throughout Swansea and Neath Port Talbot.

There were over 40 different challenges throughout the park including rafts across the lake, water slides, fire service smoke house, assault courses, sensory challenges and many, many more. Important messages such as team building, fire safety and stranger danger were given by the challenge leaders.
The scores have now been counted and Dwr-y-Felin’s KS4 pupils finished 3rd out of 33 schools and our KS3 pupils finished 1st out of 30 schools.

All pupils involved had a fantastic time and were model ambassadors for Dwr-y-Felin.
